Our 2 days tour starts early in the morning – we will pick you up at your hotel or the airport in Marrakech. Then Moroco travel via the High Atlas Mountains, where you will enjoy the stunning panoramic views along the Tizi n’Tichka pass. For lunch, we will the stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. You may recognise some of the scenery here from your favourite movies or television series like Game of Thrones.
This area formed part of the caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech and citizens in present-day Morocco are attracted to the region by the tourist trade which thrives there. Although most of the locals live in a village on the other side of the river, there are still four families living in the original ancient village. After lunch, we will make our way to Zagora, where you will enjoy a camel trek to an overnight desert camp.
After you have enjoyed seeing the sunrise over the Sahara, and a hearty traditional nomadic breakfast, we will depart for Marrakech. Today we will travel via Agdz, where you will be blown away by the beautiful panoramic views of the palm oases. The Draa Valley, which is home to Morocco’s longest river, will also provide many photographic opportunities.
