After breakfast, we’ll discover Marrakech and You will Experience the best this vibrant city has to offer – from historic and artistic wonders to snake-charmers and freshly-squeezed orange juice. Before You’ll be awe-struck by the imposing minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque, After the beauty and wonder of the Majorelle Gardens and the rich history of the Saadian Tombs and Bahia Palace. After that, we will walk through the medina and enjoy lunch near the city square. The rest of the day will be free time or you can explore at your leisure.
From your hotel, we will begin our journey to the Dades Valley driving along the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Before we reach to the UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous movie and Television series location of Ait Ben Haddou. After your visit we will enjoy a delicious lunch, while enjoying the natural views, Before moving on to the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate.
On our way to Valley of the Roses, we will pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa des M’Gouna And Boumalne du Dades, where we will spend the night. This region is particularly well known for its roses and it is a treat to see them in full bloom in April and May.
After breakfast at your hotel, we will leave Boumalne Dades and travel to Tafraoute – a hidden Berber Village in the South of Morocco. Then we will pass through the dramatic Dades Valley and Todgha Gorges. After travelling through the small towns along the way. Upon arrival in Tafraoute, we will explore on foot, before spending the night in the home of a local Berber family, Thiere income of this familys its Agriculture and Fossiles and Mines in this Erea. Located in the central part of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, this valley is surrounded on all sides by red-granite mountains and is known for its prehistoric rock engravings.
After breakfast at your hotel, we will depart for Erg Chebbi, Merzouga. Along the way, you will take pleasure in the desert views and the mineral formations of Taouz – an area rich in dinosaur bones. We will then stop in the village of Khamlia – where you will see the Gnaoua music and a traditional Gnaoua lunch.
We will then take a short trip to a hotel where you will be treated to refreshments, before embarking on a camel ride into the desert. Your luggage will be stored overnight in a safe room at the hotel. You will then spend the night in the middle of the massive dunes of Erg Chebbi, in a relaxing Berber camp. The camp contains several tents, with beds and covers, a restaurant, flushing toilets, and showers. You will also enjoy the night-time entertainment, taking in the sounds of Berber drums and singing around the campfire. Dine on a traditional Moroccan dinner.
Wake up early to see the sunrise over the incredible Erg Chebbi dunes – it is a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, a photographer’s dream. Return to the hotel where you will freshen up and have breakfast before we move on to Ouarzazate. We will be passing through Alnif, Tazzarine, N’kob and the Draa Valley – formed by Morocco’s longest river. You will spend the night in a visitor house in Ouarzazate.
Enjoy a Moroccan breakfast feast before we head out towards Marrakech, via the High Atlas Mountains. North Africa’s highest mountain range is known by the local Berbers as ‘Idraren Draren’ (Mountains of Mountains). The High Atlas Mountain range runs diagonally through Morocco, reaching almost 1 000km in length. Snowfall from September to May makes the peaks an attraction for winter sports. Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will taken to your hotel, where you will have free time for the rest of the evening. Enjoy a dinner in the city square, where you will be thrilled by the hustle and bustle of real Moroccan city life.
